Foster Grandparent Program of Northern Utah
Serving Weber, Morgan, Davis, Box Elder and Cache Counties
Foster Grandparents are role models, mentors and friends. They serve in area schools, preschools and after school programs helping children learn to read, providing one on one tutoring and guiding children at a critical time in their lives.
Qualifications to become a Foster Grandparent
55 years of age or older.
Willing to serve a minimum of 15 hours a week.
Household income below $2,082 a month for a single person and $2,818 a month for a couple (This amount is after medical deductions).
Pass a fingerprint background check.
Foster Grandparents receive a stipend of $2.65 an hour, mileage reimbursement, supplemental accident insurance, a free meal and training.
